"Preserving the good, increasing agility"

Burkhard Eling has been at the helm of family-owned DACHSER as CEO since January 1. He also marks the start of the next generation on the Executive Board. Burkhard Eling on a strong team and upcoming challenges.

"On January 1, a new generation of leaders took the helm at DACHSER. My colleagues on the Executive Board and I have prepared ourselves thoroughly for this. We are a strong team and we consider ourselves well equipped to master the upcoming challenges.

In the short term, of course, this includes managing the coronavirus crisis, which will keep us very busy for at least the first half of 2021. The DACHSER network has performed extremely well so far on this front. By keeping global supply chains running without interruption, we are giving our customers security and stability in these difficult times."

Digitization with simultaneous customer proximity and sustainability

"This is something we will continue to do, with the high levels of reliability and quality that our customers have come to expect from DACHSER. We will preserve all the good things about DACHSER that customers, service partners, and employees value. At the same time, we will increase our agility and actively address the key challenges of the coming decade: digitalization with simultaneous customer proximity, sustainability, and the lack of qualified personnel.

Throughout this journey, the DACHSER mission will remain our compass: we want to continue to develop DACHSER, guiding it on its way to becoming the world’s most integrated logistics provider, and optimize our customers’ logistics balance sheet with our services.

We’re looking forward to the road ahead and are highly motivated to share the journey with you."
